The poet and playwright, William Shakespeare,
has continuously sparked the interest of many scholars.
One of the many themes they explore is the role of
gender in Shakespeare’s plays. Some scholars even
go as far as saying that Shakespeare was a very
early-on feminist. Although the term itself did not exist
during that time period, the idea did exist
in the minds of some -
Shakespeare might have been one of them.
